Coastal Geologic Services Inc. utilizes its diverse information and knowledge base in addition to our field experience along more than half of the Puget Sound shoreline as the basis for coastal ecosystem management. This knowledge enables staff to efficiently provide synthesis, decision support tools, and management recommendations. Examples of recent types of work include:

  • Shoreline Master Program updates
  • Critical Areas Ordinances updates
  • Erosion and habitat management plans
  • Regional white papers, such as a collation of Sound-wide shore armor mapping
  • Sea level rise and climate change planning
  • Coastal structure permitting recommendations
