Ben Johnson, BS, GIT, Associate Geomorphologist
Ben received a BS in geology from Western Washington University, where he focused his undergraduate research on sediment transport thresholds in gravel-bedded rivers. His interest in coastal science stems from a motivation to understand and protect the dynamic shoreline habitats of the Salish Sea. Ben has conducted aquatic habitat monitoring for both state and federal agencies, and he contributes to CGS projects through field mapping, surveying, geospatial analysis, and technical report writing. He is currently working towards licensing as a geologist in the State of Washington.
